Turkey & Gravy

  • 18-20 lb. Turkey
  • 2-3 onions, Quartered
  • 2-3 carrots cut into 1” pieces
  • 2-3 celery stalks, cut into 1” piece
  • 2-3 apples, quartered
  • 1 garlic clove, halved
  • Bunch of fresh herbs: sage, thyme, and rosemary
  • 1-2 tbsp. kitchen bouquet 
  • 2-3 tbsp. poultry seasoning
  • Garlic salt to taste (don’t use too much, you can add more later)
  • 1 cup water
  • Mix onions, carrots, celery, apple, and herbs in a bowl
  • Split veggie mixture in the bottom of the pan, inside turkey, and around the turkey
  • Add veggie mixture to the bottom of the pan
  • Add poultry seasoning underneath skin and stuff turkey with veggie mixture
  • Place turkey on top of veggie mixture
  • Add kitchen bouquet, poultry seasoning and garlic salt around turkey
  • Add remaining veggies around turkey and water
  • Medium-click-low for 2+ hours**

**Cooking Tip: when the valve starts to click, let it click stead for 10 minutes. When you turn down to low, turn it down slowly. Don’t go straight to LOW temperature. Go to a 3.5 on your stove then slowly reduce if it keeps clicking.
